QCI-007 Operation of Bursting Strength Tester

• PROCEDURE

• For Bursting Strength Testing:

  • Cut the specimen of the sample to be tested. The sample size should be 100 mm x 100 mm.

  • Power ON the system.

  • Fix the sample on the equipment carefully at the centre and lock the clamp.

  • Press ZERO, RESTART, and then START.

  • Once the test is completed, note down the reading and wait for the pressure to settle down.

  • Unclamp the instrument and pick out the tested sample.

  • Take 5 tests of the same sample, note down the readings, and then obtain the average value for a better result.

  • The display will show the intended force (at burst) and the same value shall be held until the Zero key is pressed again.
